Cargo insurance

Cargo insurance helps compensate for damaged or lost goods during loading, transportation, unloading, and, if necessary, storage.

Cargo insurance has different options:

  • Single shipment insurance

  • Annual policy (Open Cover) for regular shipments based on agreed annual turnover terms. Open Cover insurance simplifies paperwork and, more importantly, extends coverage to all customer shipments

  • Stock Throughput Insurance – annual insurance coverage that includes goods transportation and storage. Coverage applies from the moment of purchase until transfer of liability to third parties, avoiding potential gaps in coverage

Compensation includes: damage or loss of cargo, salvage costs, repairs, recovery – inspection. The insurer also covers expenses that may arise in case of general average.
